Physical Therapy is for Everyone

History of IMT | What is IMT | Diagnostics | IMT Massage

Jay Kain Physical Therapy, Inc. is a private practice physical therapy clinic located in Great Barrington, nestled in Berkshire County Massachusetts. Jay Kain Physical Therapy was the first private practice physical therapy clinic in South Berkshire County, opening in 1983 as Town & Country Physical Therapy. At that time, we were located in the "Old Granary Building" on Rosseter Street. Since then we have expanded and moved into new, larger facilities where we are currently located: 789 South Main Street, Great Barrington.

Although we've grown considerably, we still remain small enough to serve our clients personally.

At Jay Kain Physical Therapy we address more than your symptoms. Unlike traditional physical therapists who utilize modalities (machines) to treat your symptoms, our treatment team are specialists in Integrative Manual Therapy™ Specialists who address not only your symptoms, but the cause of them as well

In addition to Integrative Manual Therapy™ we also offer:

Integrative Diagnostics
Integrative Manual Therapy™ Massage
Community Educational Programs

We also offer; Back schools (classes on preventing back injury and managing back aches and pains) to employers and community groups lectures for schools, local groups and businesses; athletic screening for local students entering sports programs; manual therapy study groups for area therapists to enhance their skills; internship and shadow programs for students who are interested in, or are planning to enter the field of physical therapy, etc.

The therapy that is practiced at Jay B. Kain Physical Therapy revolves around the patient. It is performed as team management. Each person is important. Team members include: patient, practitioners, family members and significant others. In addition, the Team will always include anyone else involved in the outside community and health care delivery system.

As the patients quite often see other therapists on staff, it is the initial evaluation physical therapist who acts as a liaison for all other members on the “team”. With a team approach each patient benefits from the combined knowledge, skill and expertise of all the members of the team.To learn more about our services click on the links below:
